Aiming to become the model library among the state.

The primary aim of the library is to support the curriculum needs of the student, teaching staff & supporting staff of the institution through the development of all kind of pertinent collections. The provision of services designed to meet the user information and learning need such as Book Bank Service, Lending Service, Digital Library service, Multimedia and periodical service. Library follows the open access system, encouraging the user to browse resources freely in the knowledge centre.

Automated Library

Library uses Koha Library management software, Which is supports the in-house operations of the library such as acquisition, Cataloguing ,Circulation and OPAC, Database is updated day by day with newly acquired books and available books.

Barcode implemented circulation system

Smart circulation system has been implemented successfully by implementing the Bar-Code technology for all the Resources and User barrower’s cards.

Distinctiveness
  • Issuing a set of books from Book Bank service to all the students to keep themselves for a semester
  • General reading room-Where students can bring their own personal books to study.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

  • Borrowers are to produce their ID cards when borrowing resource materials.
  • ID cards are not transferable. The use of the card is restricted to the user to whom the card is issued.
  • Members must satisfy themselves about the physical conditions of the library material being issued. They shall be held responsible for any damage/mutilation noticed at the time of return.

ISSUE OF NO DUE CERTIFICATE

All the library users (Students, Staff members & others) should be clear the dues(Barrowed resource materials) and users should surrender their ID card to get the No Due from the library or else they are liable to pay of RS.100/–for ID card.

Loss of Books and ID/Smart Cards

Loss of Book
Where an item is lost or damaged, the borrower will be charged for the item as follows.
Loss of ID/Smartcard

In case of loss of ID card the member must report immediately to library. The replacement fee for the card is Rs.100/- and resubmit the application form with a photograph.

SERVICES

Lending :
Library stack books will be issued to the students for a period of 14 days. Books so lent shall be returned on due date. The same book can be reissued for another 14 days if it is not in demand. An overdue charge of Rs.1/- per day will be charged if a book is kept beyond the date.
Lending Privileges :
Two books for all students.
General Book Bank :
A set of books will be issued to all the students for one full semester. If books are not returned within the date announced by the library at the end of semester, a fine of Rs.10/- per book per week shall be charged.
Multimedia :
Textbook and other resourceful CD/DVDs will be issued to the students and staff members for 7 days. After the due date there will be a fine of Rs.2/- per day.
Question Bank :
The Library & Information Centre provides previous years question papers for reference to prepare better for examination.
Periodicals :
Library provides Journals, Magazines & Daily News papers.

OPAC : Online Public Access Catalogue

OPAC (Library catalogue) allows the users to search the library holding such as books and other materials. It will help principally locate books and other materials available in the library.
