About Department
The Civil Engineering Department was established in 2016 with an initial intake of 60 students. Since then, it has grown significantly, striving to equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in the field of Civil Engineering.
In 2022, the department’s research center was recognized by Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), offering M.Sc. Engineering by Research and Ph.D. programs, furthering our commitment to advanced study and innovation in civil engineering.
We proudly maintain associations with several renowned professional bodies, such as the Builders Association of India (BAI), Institution of Engineers India (IEI), and Indian Society of Structural Engineers (ISSE). Additionally, we have established Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with over 10 leading industries, consulting firms, and professional organizations, facilitating valuable internship programs and placement opportunities for our students.
The department is dedicated to aligning its curriculum with industry standards, ensuring students gain extensive exposure to both technical and professional skills required in today’s job market. Our programs focus not only on career preparation but also on fostering entrepreneurial skills.
Our students have consistently achieved outstanding results in VTU examinations. The department secured 2nd rank at university level in the year 2024, a testament to our commitment to academic excellence. Graduates from our department are well-placed in prestigious government and private organizations in both Civil Engineering and IT sectors. Many have also succeeded as entrepreneurs, contributing to the field of Civil Engineering across Karnataka.
Beyond academics, our students excel in co-curricular activities, earning awards and recognition at both college-level and intercollegiate events. This comprehensive development ensures that our students are well-rounded, industry-ready professionals poised for success in their chosen paths.
