Electronics is the revolution we use a numerous products in our daily life they all are developed by electronics engineers. It all involves how we use flow of current, gases semiconductors, or other conducting and non conducting materials. Now Electronics in itself is a vas field but generally it is combined with telecommunications. Telephony is a sunshine sector as telephone provides connectivity and connectivity is heart of everything. Various telecommunication technologies have been developed like radio waves, microwaves, wireless technology etc. The biggest example we can see in our day to day life is the Internet which is now available in very household.


Electronic engineers have a high responsibility and respectable job. Their basic job is to construct or invent new design and technologies or to re fabricate an old technology. Wide variety of departments are there for an electronics engineer like they can even also work in automobile engineer, And communication industry is always hot for them, and mainly they are in to Research and Development, Production, Servicing, and Telecommunication Engineers Details are Below Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering was started in the year 2007 with an intake of 60 seats and were enhanced to 120 seats in the year 2009. The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering has specialized laboratories with a view to strengthen research & development, Equipped with state of the art Equipments & Instruments for experimentation in different subjects. These assist the students in exhaustive study & help them in learning various concepts through practical experience.The academic programs of the Department are highly innovative and keenly sought after. The Department has trained more than a thousand engineers who have distinguished themselves as leading academicians, industry professionals, and entrepreneurs in several universities and industries in India and abroad.

  • Analog Electronics Lab

Analog Electronics laboratory enables students to get practical experience in design, assembly, testing and evaluation of analog electronic circuits. Starting with the basic rectifiers and voltage regulators. It also includes the characteristics study of diodes, transistors, JFETs, and op-amps by constructing a diode clipper, series and shunt, voltage regulator, small amplifier etc. This laboratory will anable the students to familiarize with wiiting algorithms, fundamentals of C and problem solving, Implement different programming constructs and decomposition of problems into functions, Use and implement the data stuctures like arrays and structures to obtain solutions.

  • Digital Electronics Lab

The Digital Electronics Laboratory covers design and verification of the concepts of basic digital circuits. The lab includes experiments on basics of Digital IC’s, Combinational circuits, and Sequential circuits. This lab is equipped with IC Tester and Digital IC Trainer kits. Students will gain the knowledge of simulating the logic circuits using open source / evaluation version of software tool.

  • Microprocessor Lab

The Microprocessor Laboratory covers basic architecture of 8086 microprocessor, Register set of 8086 and its programming using Assembly Level Language. It helps the students to develop their knowledge on processor architecture and the programming skills. Use of Procedures and Macros in 8086 Programming. Understanding the interfacing of 8086 with Logic controller. Stepper motor, DAC, Seven Segment display interface boards. The lab is equipped with 24 systems with i5 processor configuration and loaded with MASM and EMU8086 emulator. The hardware kit includes the logic controller kit, Seven segment Display kit, Stepper Motor Interface kit, Dual DAC and ADC interface kit, etc.

  • Basic Electrical Engineering Lab

The Basic Electrical Engineering Lab (named as Dr.CNR Rao Electrical Lab) is well equipped with the single phase and three phase power Equipments. It cater the needs of students according to the syllabus and it mainly focus on understanding the basic application of electrical principles and the technological processes in order to improve the quality of life. The Basic Electrical Engineering Laboratory provide the • Exposure to common electrical components such as resistors, capacitors and inductors, types of wires and measuring instruments. • To measure power and power factor measurement of different types of lamps and three phase circuits. • To explain measurement of impedance for R-L and R-C circuits. • To determine power consumed in a three phase load. • To determine earth resistance and explain methods of controlling a lamp from different places.

  • Linear ICs and Communication Lab

This course will enable students to: • To expose the students to linear and integrated circuits • To understand the basics of linear integrated circuits and available ICs. • To understand characteristics of operational amplifier • To apply operational amplifiers in linear and nonlinear applications. • To acquire the basic knowledge of special function IC 8038 using which different types of waveforms can be generated and using this IC FM wave can be generated. • To understand the AM & FM modulation circuits using OP-AMP • To understand the design of Phase Lock Loop (PLL) circuits used in communication systems • To understand the design and working of Mixer circuit used in communication systems • To understand the design of Astable & Monostable multivibrator using 555 timer IC

  • Computer Communication Network Lab

The Experiments comprising simulation of various protocols and performance study; TCP/IP Level Programming, Routing Algorithms and internetworking. The lab is equipped with 50 systems with i5 processor configuration and loaded with Linux mint OS and NS2 simulator. This course will enable students to: • Choose suitable tools to model a network and understand the protocols at various TCP/IP layers • OSI reference levels. • Design a suitable network and simulate using NS2 Network simulator tool. • Simulate the networking concepts and protocols using C/C++ programming. • Model the networks for different network topologies and analyze the results.

  • Digital Signal Processing Lab

Digital signal processing laboratory helps the students to learn, analyze and design the techniques that give core knowledge for DSP. The main focus of the lab is to support the teaching and research activities in the area of DSP. The laboratory has both software tools and hardware DSP processors- both fixed point and floating point. The lab is equipped with 50 systems with i5 processor configuration and loaded with Code Composer studio and MATLAB software. Programming of the DSP chip is done in C language using the Code Composer Studio IDE provided by Texas Instruments.. This course will enable students to • Simulate discrete time signals and verification of sampling theorem. • Compute the DFT for a discrete signal and verification of its properties using MATLAB. • Find solution to the difference equations and computation of convolution linear & circular convolution • Auto Correlation & cross correlation along with the verification of properties. • Compute and display the FIR filtering operations and compare with the theoretical values. • To design and test IIR filters both Butterworth & Chebyshev filters • Implement the Matlab code on DSP hardware and verify the result in real time. • The real time programs include computation of linear & circular convolution, computation of FFT, to design & test different FIR filters using windows functions.

  • ARM Embedded Controller Lab

Embedded Controller lab helps the students to enhance their knowledge on architecture, programming and interfacing of various processors and microcontrollers. The features and facilities available in this lab help the students to do their projects and enhance their knowledge on the latest trends and technologies. The lab is equipped with 50 systems with i5 processor configuration and loaded with keil micro vision 5 software. This course will enable students to: • Understand the instruction set of ARM Cortex M3, a 32 bit microcontroller and the software tool required for programming in Assembly and C language. • Program ARM Cortex M3 using the various instructions in assembly level language for different applications. • Interface external devices and I/O with ARM Cortex M3. • Develop C language programs and library functions for embedded system applications.

  • Hardware Description Language Lab

This course will enable students to:

  • Familiarize with the CAD tool to write HDL programs.
  • Understand simulation and synthesis of digital design.
  • Program FPGAs/CPLDs to synthesize the digital designs.
  • Interface hardware to programmable ICs through I/O ports.
  • Choose either Verilog or VHDL for a given Abstraction level.
